Lim Chong Chong, CFA
Founder and Managing Partner
Chong Chong is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ascent Capital Partners. He has extensive experience in investments, corporate finance and corporate transformation, and deep operational knowledge of Myanmar’s corporate and business landscape.
Chong Chong has a proven track record in successfully investing, building and transforming businesses in Myanmar and in the region. Before starting Ascent Capital, he also founded O2 Asia Ventures, a Myanmar-focused investment and advisory firm.
Prior to starting his own entrepreneurial journey, Chong Chong held various senior management positions. He was the Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Strategy at Capital Diamond Star Group (CDSG), a leading conglomerate in Myanmar, where he led the formation of several local-foreign joint ventures and its corporate transformation efforts. Before moving to Myanmar, he worked at Temasek, EY, KPMG and Citibank, in Singapore and China, where he was involved in investment management, strategic planning and financial advisory.
He has in-depth experience in various industries, including agriculture, consumer, food, retail, real estate and financial services.
Chong Chong graduated from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, with a Bachelor’s Degree (with Honours) in Business Studies, specialising in Banking and Finance. He is also a CFA charterholder.
He also contributes actively to the community in both Singapore and Myanmar, in the following capacity:

2) Deputy President, Singapore Association of Myanmar (SAM)

Stanley Kyaw Khaing
Managing Partner
Stanley is a Managing Partner of Ascent Capital Partners. He has over 13 years of diverse commercial and legal experience in Myanmar and Canada. Stanley returned to Myanmar in 2014 to participate in Myanmar’s reopening to the international community.
Upon returning to Myanmar, Stanley was the Group General Counsel at one of the leading conglomerates in Myanmar and supported the formation of foreign-local joint ventures for the expansion of the Group’s businesses.
Stanley has also served as a Director of Corporate Affairs at a telecommunication infrastructure company in Myanmar, where he managed a team of local and expatriate staff and is responsible for legal, regulatory, government relations and CSR functions.
Stanley has supported and/or led negotiations for various types of high-value commercial arrangements in Myanmar and he is also experienced in conducting buy-side and sell-side M&A due diligence work.
Prior to returning to Myanmar, Stanley was in private practice as an intellectual property lawyer focusing on technology and software patents in United States and Canada.
Stanley holds a B.Sc. (Comp. Sci) and a LL.B., respectively, from Queen’s University and University of Western Ontario in Canada. He is admitted to practice law as Barrister and Solicitor at the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Stanley is active in the legal community in Myanmar and he currently serves as the Chair of the Legal Working Group of the British Chamber of Commerce Myanmar.
Stanley was born in Myanmar and is fluent in Burmese.
Soi Moe Aye Shin
Investment Associate
Soi joined Ascent since its founding in 2018. As a Investment Associate, Soi is involved in supporting the end-to-end investment process. She is also involved in managing the corporate communications function. Prior to joining the team, she worked at KBZ Stirling Coleman Securities Company as a Senior Associate for 2 years. She holds an MBA from the University of Northampton, United Kingdom.
Su Nandi Kyaw
Portfolio Management Associate
Su is involved in various portfolio management and monitoring activities as a Portfolio Management Associate. She also drives ESG execution, working closely with the rest of the Ascent team and our investee companies to ensure that ESG requirements are fully integrated within the entire investment process, and that ESG standards are fully adhered with. Before joining Ascent, Su worked as an FP&A analyst at Agrocorp International. Su holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of London, United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore.
